Product Description

Three-dimensional (3D) printing, also known as 'Additive Manufacturing' (AM), of titanium orthopaedic implants has revolutionized the treatment of massive bone defects in the pelvis due to their ability to be customized with complex shapes, size and surface geometries; this is more complicated to achieve with conventional manufacturing (i.e., non-3D printing) methods, such as drop forging and machining, which are commonly used to produce orthopaedic implants. In terms of manufacturing, 3D printing enables complex porous structures with specifically designed pores shapes to be produced, unlike conventional technologies, where the control over the final architecture of the porous backside coating is limited.

Product Features

  • Forged titanium alloy material: Flexibility provides natural stress transmission and tissue strength.
  • Adjustable anteversion angle: Can meet various anatomical forms of femur.
  • Hybrid fixation: Proximal fixation, distal handle.
  • Longitudinal ridges: Can be inserted into cancellous bone to improve the anti-rotation stability of the prosthesis.
  • Sleeve triangle design: Improves anti-rotation stability; the stepped treatment of the sleeve surface converts shearing force into compressive stress.
  • Medullary protection: Seals the proximal end of the femur to prevent wear debris from entering the medullary cavity.
  • Tapered design: The inner diameter of the sleeve can be effectively taper-locked with the handle body.

About Technology

Our technology is led by high-tech enterprise members specializing in porous metal materials. We are mainly engaged in the design, development, production, and sales of metal 3D printing parts for medical implants, which are widely used in total hip arthroplasty, femoral stem replacement, and other orthopaedic fields.
